PHP History

Who and Why PHP

Rasmus Lerdorf was the creator of PHP and it was created in 1994. It ws created so that the web page can communicate with databases.

PHP Environment

PHP was created for the server-side scripting and to help with functionality that HTML could not do

Usage of PHP on the internet

PHP is very common on the internet since it is open-source language with many functions. Many big websites use the PHP language and some of the sites are WordPress, Etsy. Tumblr, Wilkipedia, Facebook, and more.

Summary

Overall PHP seems to be a good language to learn and use due to all of its functions. The background of the story was interesting to read as well since Rasmus just created it to see who was looking at his resume and the it just expanded from there. It is also still a widely used laguage for big websites today.
