    History

    Webflow started in 2012 with the founder and COE Vlad Magdalin and two other co-workers, Bryant Chou and Sergie Magdalin. Webflow had a hard time getting started and the company nearly went bankrupt many times before breaking out in 2013. They created Webflow so users can create a webpage without having to use any code.

    Requirements

    The minimum requirements for Webflow are 1GB of RAM, 100 MB of storage, and a good stable internet connection since it is a browser design tool.

    Hosted/Self-Hosted

    Webflow can be either hosted or self-hosted. The hosted options range from free to $39+ monthly. with not as much customization and then better options starting at $14 a month to $39 a month for business options. There is also a enterprise option you can choose from which you will need to contact to discuss options for the website. You can choose to self-host if you want to, but you will need to download the source code and upload it each time you change it on the new server.

    Cost

    Each Webflow site has a free option to start with which allows you to customize basic features to your site. As mentioned before the basic plan starts at $14 a month and then the next is CMS which is $23 a month, and then business which is $39 a month. There are also E-commerce plans that range from $29 – $212 monthly.

    User Base

    Webflow is used in around 3% of websites and is not ranked one of the most used CMS but there are still many sites that are created using Webflow.
